PAM
Physical Activity & Memory
After treatment with chemotherapy, many patients with breast cancer experience cognitive problems, such as reduced memory and concentration. A promising treatment option is physical exercise.
The main objective of the PAM study is to investigate whether physical exercise can improve cognitive functioning in chemotherapy-exposed patients with breast cancer.
For the study, we are looking for 180 women who have been treated for breast cancer in one of these hospitals. The study is funded by the Dutch Cancer Society. The study has been approved by the Executive Board of UMC Utrecht, following a positive advice from the Medical Ethics Review Committee of UMC Utrecht.
